Job summary

The Industrial Relations Commission is seeking a Policy and Projects Officer (Clerk 7/8) to contribute to policy initiatives and project delivery. You will apply research, analytical and project management skills to support the delivery of effective court and commission services.

This temporary/full-time role is based in Sydney CBD with occasional Parramatta, offering a base salary of $116,981-$129,492 per year plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

Qualifications

• Experience researching policy and legal issues and providing evidence-based advice.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to engage stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualifications in law or business, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and settle internal procedures with judicial officers and registrars.
• Research and analyse legal and policy issues to inform policy development.
• Prepare briefing notes, reports and correspondence for decision-making.
• Coordinate and support projects, including research initiatives and program reforms.
• Engage with stakeholders and coordinate working groups and consultations.
