On-Site Installations Technician

Job summary

Barrier Group is looking for an experienced Installer to join our main Installations team based in North Geelong. You’ll report to the Installations Team Leader and work with autonomy backed by product knowledge and technical training.

The ideal candidate has an installation or handyman background, a focus on quality, strong time-management, and familiarity with site measurements and tools such as core drilling. This on-site role includes overtime and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• a track record of industrial installation or handyman work
• a strong focus on excellent installation quality and the ability to take responsibility for your work
• well-developed technical abilities including site measurements and various tools/equipment (such as core drilling)
• a self-starter with demonstrated time management skills, maturity and integrity
• experience with line-marking, radar scanning and core drilling would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• the assembly, installation and repair of metal products at customer sites
• working closely with the Installations Coordinator regarding scheduling and site inductions
• a high-quality and high-standard of installation work, including ensuring finished work sites are clean and tidy
• maintaining company assets (including vehicles and tools) and ensuring relevant tools are packed for each installation job
• assisting other teams (including manufacturing) as required, and attending all training and team meetings
