Barrier Group is the Australian leader in the design and manufacture of workplace and pedestrian safety solutions. We are seeking reliable Trades Assistants / Labourers to join our Installations team based in North Geelong.

This hands-on, full-time role supports safe and efficient installation of safety products at customer sites across Victoria. You’ll work with experienced installers and report to our Installations Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, installation or manual labour.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn on the job.
• Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Willingness to travel and stay away overnight when required.
• Forklift or EWP licence is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-site installation of bollards, barriers, line marking and signage.
• Handle tools, equipment and materials required for each job.
• Load/unload vehicles and maintain a clean job site.
• Follow safety procedures and site instructions at all times.
• Some jobs require occasional overnight travel with accommodation and allowances provided.

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Trades Assistants / Labourers to join our Installations team based in North Geelong.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on, full‑time role supporting the safe and efficient installation of our safety products at customer sites across Victoria. You’ll work alongside experienced installers and report to our Installations Manager.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting with on‑site installation of bollards, barriers, line marking and signage


• Handling tools, equipment and materials required for each job


• Loading/unloading vehicles and maintaining a clean job site


• Following safety procedures and site instructions at all times


• Some jobs will require occasional overnight travel and stays away from home, with accommodation and allowances provided.

About You

You’re someone who enjoys physical work and being part of a team that builds things that matter. You’re reliable, safety‑conscious, and keen to learn new skills.

• Previous experience in construction, installation or manual labour, however we are willing to take on recent school leavers with a drive to grow


• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn on the job


• Basic tool handling experience and comfort working outdoors


• A reliable and professional worker


• Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain)


• Willingness and ability to travel and stay away overnight when required
