Job summary

Buildcorp is seeking an experienced HSE professional to join our Remedial and Facade team in Sydney, delivering proactive health, safety, and environmental leadership across live projects.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to manage risk, prevent incidents, and drive continuous HSE improvement on site. Buildcorp values safety, inclusion, and development for long-term success.

Qualifications

• Experience in HSE roles within construction.
• Experience supporting high-risk work environments.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations and codes.
• Ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proactive, resilient approach in dynamic project environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive risk management activities, including emergency planning and incident prevention.
• Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and compliance reporting.
• Review and manage Safe Work Method Statements.
• Support incident and near-miss investigations and reporting.
• Share HSE alerts, lessons learned, and safety communications across the project.
• Assist with the implementation of environmental and quality management systems.
• Deliver HSE training, site inductions, and toolbox talks.
• Engage with subcontractors to promote compliance and positive safety behaviours.
• Support return-to-work and injury management processes.
• Prepare monthly HSE reports, dashboards, and compliance reviews.
