Job summary

Core-EP is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support on-site environmental engineering and QA activities for projects in Melbourne. You will verify environmental protection and remediation systems are built to specification and assist with design and reporting from the office.

Ideal candidates are early-career engineers with strong attention to detail, good communication, and a willingness to learn Australian Standards and environmental legislation. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering with early-career focus.
• Willingness to learn Australian Standards and environmental legislation.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical inspection approach.
• Good communication and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Undertake CQA and inspection of environmental protection, remediation and containment systems.
• Support supervision of remediation and construction works, including compliance monitoring.
• Record field data and assist QA reporting, specifications, ITPs and as-built documentation.
• Assist senior engineers with design and improvement of waste and pollution control systems.
• Prepare computer models, visuals and design drawings under senior staff guidance.
• Coordinate with team members, suppliers and subcontractors to keep deliverables on track.
• Prepare safety documentation including JSAs and SWMS for field tasks.
• Assist with scopes of work, fee proposals and project documentation.
