Job summary

Focus Minerals is seeking a Medic & Emergency Services Officer to lead on-site emergency medical services, injury management and preparedness under a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth. The MESO will drive rapid 24/7 response and contribute to a safe working environment for all employees.

You will ensure legislative and industry standards are met, manage medical records, and mentor the Emergency Response team while coordinating referrals, evacuations and return-to-work processes.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Mines Rescue is essential.
• Certificate IV Health Care or higher is essential.
• ALS qualification or willingness to obtain.
• HLTPAT005 Authorised Specimens for Drug of Abuse Certification is essential.
• Current HR Drivers Licence and driving under operational conditions.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage site medical and emergency response capability and on-call hours.
• Procure, maintain and inspect medical and rescue equipment.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Provide leadership and hands-on response during incidents.
• Deliver emergency medical assessment and treatment within scope.
• Coordinate medical referrals and evacuations as required.
• Manage injury management and return-to-work processes.
• Support WHS compliance through risk assessments and investigations.
• Coordinate Fitness for Work programs and drug/alcohol testing.
