Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for a full-time, on-site role in Turvey Park, AU. The position involves support for mission-critical infrastructure in premier data center facilities.

The role requires hands-on experience with hardware installations, structured cabling, server racking, and issue resolution. On-site work with on-call rotation is expected, along with documenting work thoroughly and coordinating with NOC/client teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center or IT infrastructure work experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a; fiber optic).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised-floor environments.
• Professional English communication. Prefer data center certifications (CDCP/CDCS).
• Familiarity with DCIM and ticketing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
• Maintain on-site readiness and safety protocols.
