Job summary

John Holland Group is seeking a Contracts Administrator Assistant for the I2S project in the Illabo to Stockinbingal region. The role is permanent, full-time, and based on a 2:1 roster on-site in Cootamundra and surrounds.

You will work closely with Engineers, Procurement, and Subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery. The successful candidate will hold a related bachelor’s degree and 12+ months of commercial administration experience, with strong MS Office skills and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field.
• 12+ months of commercial administration experience in construction/engineering.
• Experience negotiating subcontract terms.
• Familiarity with document control processes.
• Experience with CRM or contract management systems.

Responsibilities

• Review draft scopes of works and draft and compile tender packages for subcontractors.
• Conduct initial discussions/negotiations with subcontractors in consultation with Contracts Lead.
• Manage and drive the review process to award subcontractors on time and within budget.
• Maintain the project procurement schedule / subcontract register.
• Assist the Delivery team to minimise variation and time extensions; issue notices as required.
• Ensure costs for subcontracts are accurately maintained and reported.
• Assess commercial risks and recommend controls to project teams.
• Check compliance and report on commercial performance of subcontractors.
• Process and prepare progress claims within legislative timeframes.
• Operate and maintain contract management systems and subcontract accounts payable.
