Job summary

SEEK AUSTRALIA is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Officer to join a large construction project near Lockyer Valley, QLD. You will lead safety on site, implement WHS policies, and coordinate training and incident investigations to ensure safe completion of a major museum project.

The role requires a Certificate IV in WHS (minimum) and experience on construction sites. A strong work ethic and excellent communication are essential for success in this on-site leadership position.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety (Certificate 4 minimum).
• Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or equivalent.
• Workplace drug and alcohol testing certification.
• Experience in workplace rehabilitation & return to work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement WHS policies and procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to all work health and safety protocols.
• Incident investigation and improvement recommendations.
• Full function Worker's Compensation and Return to Work coordination.
