Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Concrete Field Tester to join our Skygate Laboratory team in Australia. You will sample and test fresh concrete on construction sites, collect samples from several sites daily, and assist lab staff with compression tests on cured specimens.

Typical requirements include a Queensland driver’s licence, relevant laboratory qualifications, and the ability to lift 15 litres of concrete. A pre-employment medical with drug/alcohol testing is required.

Qualifications

• Queensland driver's licence is required.
• Qualification in Laboratory Techniques or signatory status is highly regarded.
• Perform tests in accordance with Australian Standards.
• Physically fit and able to carry 15 litres of concrete; trollies provided if needed.
• Pass a pre-employment medical including drug/alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Sampling and testing fresh concrete as per Australian standards on construction sites.
• Collecting concrete test samples (approx. 5kg) from multiple sites per day.
• Assisting Lab technicians and carrying out compression and other strength tests on cured specimens.
• Working safely and accurately in the Skygate/Southport Laboratory.
• Reporting results to Laboratory Supervisor.
