Job summary

Platinum Pool care is seeking an experienced bookkeeper on the Gold Coast to join our small team. You’ll own day-to-day bookkeeping and assist with admin, working on-site at Currumbin.

The role is approximately 24 hours per week across three days, offering a hands-on role in a friendly, local business. You should have at least two years’ bookkeeping experience, strong Xero skills, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Two years' practical bookkeeping experience.
• Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent.
• Strong Xero skills for payables, reconciliations, and payroll.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience using SharePoint for document management and collaboration.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Keep bank and credit card reconciliations accurate and up to date.
• Manage accounts payable and reconcile supplier statements.
• Oversee weekly payroll, STP reporting, and superannuation processing.
• Prepare weekly and monthly account payments for approval and processing.
• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Reconcile sales settlements and payment platform transactions.
• Investigate discrepancies and escalate where needed.
• Assist with month-end, BAS and financial reporting.
• Liaise with management, suppliers and our external accountant.
• Assist with general administration and take initiative on tasks beyond bookkeeping.
