Job summary

Newly By Healthcarelink Support in Long Jetty, NSW is seeking a Personal Care Assistant for casual, on-demand shifts. You will support clients with daily living activities, assist with bathing, mobility, meals, and transport between shifts, while upholding dignity and privacy.

Immediate start available. You must hold a Full Australian Driver's Licence, current Police Check, Working with Children Check, and demonstrate clear, respectful communication and physical fitness.

Qualifications

• Full Australian Driver's Licence mandatory for client transport between shifts.
• Police Check current and valid.
• Working with Children Check current and valid.
• Availability: casual hours with flexibility to accept short-notice shifts; immediate start preferred.
• Clear, respectful and effective communication with clients, families and team members.
• Physical fitness to perform safe manual handling and mobility support.

Responsibilities

• Personal care: Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and mobility support.
• Medication support: Prompting and monitoring medication adherence under care plans.
• Meal assistance: Help with meal preparation and hydration monitoring.
• Household tasks: Light cleaning, laundry, shopping assistance, and safety checks.
• Companionship and social support: Offer emotional support and accompany clients to appointments and events.
• Documentation and communication: Maintain notes and report changes to coordinators and families.
