Job summary

John Paul College invites applications for a Residential Boarding Supervisor to join our Boarding Village on a fixed-term, part-time basis for the January–November 2027 term. The role covers 20–25 hours per week and includes on-campus accommodation in a private room with ensuite within a shared facility.

You will supervise daily routines, support student wellbeing and learning, and collaborate with nursing and teaching staff to safeguard and support young people in our boarding community.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with students, families and staff.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient with basic computer applications (email, documents).

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision across daily routines, activities and study sessions.
• Support students' wellbeing and personal development with firm, fair boundaries.
• Uphold safeguarding and duty of care responsibilities at all times.
• Supervise unwell students and liaise with health staff as needed.
• Participate in the on-call roster and respond to needs outside rostered hours.
• Maintain accurate records using College systems (Reach, SEQTA).
• Drive College vehicles for appointments, outings and events.
