Job summary

Fire and Rescue NSW is seeking On-Call Firefighters to operate from their local FRNSW Fire Station. You will respond to fires, emergencies, and participate in community safety education and drills, earning pay for incident attendance, training, and education activities.

Ideal candidates live or work close to a FRNSW station, can be available across weekdays and weekends, and hold a NSW P1 minimum driver’s licence, with Australian or NZ residency or citizenship.

Qualifications

• Must hold a NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P1)
• Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
• Live and/or work within a reasonable distance of the FRNSW Fire Station

Responsibilities

• Respond to a wide range of duties including attending fires and other emergencies such as motor vehicle accidents or chemical hazards
• Participate in community fire safety work and education activities for schools, seniors, and local businesses
• Collaborate with NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Police during incidents and drills
