Job summary

Fire & Rescue NSW is seeking an On-Call Firefighter to support local brigades. The role covers responding to fires and other emergencies, conducting community safety activities and delivering public safety education.

Successful candidates must live or work within a reasonable distance of a FRNSW Fire Station, hold a valid NSW driving licence (P1) and be eligible to work in Australia or New Zealand, with availability across weekdays and weekends including day/night shifts.

Qualifications

Valid NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P1).
Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
Live and/or work within a reasonable distance of the FRNSW Fire Station.
Availability across weekdays and/or weekends, including day and/or night work.

Responsibilities

Attend fires and other emergencies such as motor vehicle accidents or chemical hazards.
Conduct community fire safety work and education activities.
Collaborate with NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Police.
Participate in ongoing training covering firefighting and rescue skills.
