Job summary

Fire & Rescue NSW is seeking On-Call Firefighters who operate from their local FRNSW Fire Station. They handle a broad range of duties including community fire safety, responding to fires and emergencies, and educating the public on fire prevention.

Attendance at incidents and training is compensated, with a base retainer and hourly pay structure. Applicants should be able to work across weekdays and/or weekends, including day/night shifts, and live or work within a reasonable distance of a

Qualifications

• Valid NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P1).
• Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Live and/or work within a reasonable distance of the FRNSW Fire Station.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking a wide range of duties including community fire safety work.
• Attending fires and other emergencies such as motor vehicle accidents or chemical hazards.
• Contributing to community education on fire prevention and safety.
• Collaborating with NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Police.
• Being paid for attendance at incidents, training sessions and safety activities.
