Job summary

Fire & Rescue NSW is seeking On-Call Firefighters to respond at incidents and participate in community safety work from their local fire station. You will attend fires, vehicle accidents, chemical hazards, and deliver public safety education.

You must live or work within a reasonable distance of a FRNSW station, be available weekdays and/or weekends, and hold a NSW Driver's Licence (P1+). Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P1) required.
• Australian or NZ citizen or permanent resident.
• Live and/or work within a reasonable distance of the FRNSW Fire Station.
• Available across weekdays and/or weekends, including day and/or night work.

Responsibilities

• Attend fires and other emergencies such as motor vehicle accidents or chemical hazards.
• Engage in community fire safety work and public education activities.
• Collaborate with other emergency services (NSW Ambulance, NSW Rural Fire Service, NSW Police).
• Respond promptly to incidents and training sessions as part of the on-call roster.
