Job summary

Response Centre in Sydney is seeking an experienced OHS Manager to lead a nationwide safety system across business units. You will drive a common framework, develop SOPs, and build a culture of safety first.

You will train managers in compliance, audits, risk assessments, and work with insurers on premiums, claims, and return-to-work strategies. Some travel across Australia is required.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and reviewing safety policies and SOPs.
• Experience auditing safety programs and training managers.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation and return-to-work strategies.

Job description

We are a growing national Australian owned company involved in manufacturing and services in the water industry.

We have various small business units across Australia of varying size that come under the corporate parent who deliver solutions for our customer base.

As part of our growth we want to appoint an OHS Manager who will work with the business units to build a common system to manage safety and build a culture of safety first within our company.

There are systems in various businesses which need reviewing so we have the same system and processes nationally.

You will also work with various managers in the business to develop their safety knowledge and train them in compliance and audits.

You will also be comfortable helping managers with risk assessments and safety documentation such as SOP and SWMMs

You will also deal with state workers compensation insurers in managing premiums, claims and return to work strategies.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys training, process development and compliance and who is a hands on operator.

The role will be based in the Sydney metro area but some travel will be required across Australia when visiting branches.

Formal qualifications in OHS, safety, training or risk assessments is highly regarded.
