Job summary

Contract Resources is seeking experienced Boilermakers (Boiler Welders) for a major offshore project commencing in October 2026. You will join a skilled offshore crew delivering maintenance and shutdown activities in a safety-focused environment, with strong Oil & Gas experience and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Onboarding must be available immediately and you should be free for October to December 2026, with further project opportunities possibly extending beyond this period.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification as Boilermaker/Metal Fabricator (essential).
  • Previous Boilermaker experience in Oil & Gas, Offshore, Mining, or Heavy Industrial sectors.
  • Current certificates: Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Gas Test Atmospheres, Offshore Survival, BOSIET, MSIC (within 2 years).
  • Must have Full Australian working rights and be available for October–December 2026 onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fabrication, maintenance, repair, and replacement of structural steel, piping supports, and pressure equipment.
  • Carry out welding activities in accordance with project specifications and quality requirements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards on offshore sites.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.

About the Role

Contract Resources is currently seeking experienced and motivated Boilermakers (Boiler Welders) to join our team for a major offshore project commencing in October 2026.

This opportunity will see you working as part of a highly skilled crew delivering critical maintenance and shutdown activities in a safety-focused offshore environment. We are looking for Boilermaker's with strong Oil & Gas experience who are committed to quality workmanship, teamwork, and safe work practices.

Due to project mobilisation requirements, applicants must be available to commence onboarding immediately and be available to work throughout October to December 2026. Further project opportunities may be available beyond this period.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform fabrication, maintenance, repair, and replacement of structural steel, piping supports, pressure equipment, and associated components.
  • Carry out welding activities in accordance with project specifications and quality requirements.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
  • Execute maintenance and shutdown activities safely and efficiently within specified timeframes.
  • Participate in inspections and quality assurance processes to ensure work is completed to required standards.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary offshore teams to support project delivery objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with all company, client, and offshore safety procedures.
Requirements & Experience Needed
  • Trade Qualification - Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator (essential).
  • Previous experience as a Boilermaker within the Oil & Gas, Offshore, Mining, or Heavy Industrial sectors.
  • Current Working at Heights certificate (within 2 years - essential).
  • Current Confined Space Entry certificate (within 2 years - essential).
  • Current Gas Test Atmospheres certificate (within 2 years - essential).
  • Current Offshore Survival certification (essential).
  • Current BOSIET certification (essential).
  • Current MSIC card (essential).
  • Operate Breathing Apparatus (BA) certification (desirable).
  • HR Driver's Licence (desirable).
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence (essential).
  • Full Australian working rights.
  • Must be available for onboarding immediately and available for project works throughout October to December 2026.
