Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Maritime Technical Operations Engineer to deploy globally in support of autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) platforms. You will troubleshoot, operate, and maintain AUVs and associated equipment in demanding field and offshore environments, interfacing with customers, engineering, and operations to ensure mission success.

Expect extensive travel (approximately 75%), hands-on field work, and collaboration on training and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating at‑sea robotic systems or similar field operations experience.
• Hands‑on technical experience in field operations, manufacturing, or testing.
• Strong problem‑solving skills at the interface of hardware, software, and networking.
• Proficient with AUV maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Comfortable using Linux and command line interfaces; able to debug software.
• Excellent documentation and communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Deploy globally to support customer-fielded AUV operations from various vessels.
• Lead hands-on troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of AUVs in the field.
• Master AUV operations and subsystems; serve as product expert in hands-on and remote support.
• Drive complex technical problems to clarity at hardware, software and networking interfaces.
• Liaise between customers, engineering and operations to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
• Support test plan creation, review, and execution during at-sea testing; provide feedback to product team.
• Contribute to training development and customer documentation for AUV operations.
