Hudson AU is recruiting an experienced Office & Operations Manager to support programmes across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. Based in Canberra, this permanent, Monday to Friday role combines office operations, finance administration, events, procurement and communications coordination to ensure smooth daily operations and delivery of key initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in office, business or operations management.
  • Experience within an international, government, not-for-profit, policy, education or research environment is highly regarded.
  • Strong financial administration and budget management skills.
  • Experience coordinating events, travel and delegations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day office operations, administration, records and service providers.
  • Supporting finance processes including reconciliations, payments, budgets, forecasting and reporting.
  • Coordinating procurement, supplier contracts, office equipment, assets and fleet administration.
  • Managing domestic and international travel for staff, guests and delegations.
  • Coordinating conferences, events and delegation visits, including venues, accommodation, catering, AV and registrations.
  • Managing event budgets, suppliers, documentation and post-event reconciliation.
  • Coordinating website updates, newsletters, invitations and database communications.
  • Supporting the production of digital and print publication.
  • Building strong relationships with external suppliers, partners and stakeholders.
  • Supporting audits, process improvements and broader operational projects.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Office & Operations Manager to join an international organisation supporting programmes across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

The Role

This is a diverse, hands-on role combining office operations, finance administration, events, procurement and communications coordination. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and programme teams to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office and delivery of key initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day office operations, administration, records and service providers

About You

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive professional with:

  • Experience in office, business or operations management
  • Experience within an international, government, not-for-profit, policy, education or research environment would be highly regarded.
  • Strong financial administration and budget management skills
  • Experience coordinating events, travel and/or delegations
  • Confidence managing suppliers, procurement and contracts
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
  • Confidence engaging with senior and external stakeholders
