Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking an Allied Health Assistant (Lvl 2-3) to work in the Occupational Therapy Department across Campbelltown & Camden Hospitals. The role includes clinical patient intervention and coverage for the Equipment Loan Pool, with both clinical and administrative duties.

The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent), or have 12 months of relevant experience, with strong organisation and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or relevant qualification, or minimum 12 months full-time equivalent relevant experience.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide intervention with patients across varied clinical areas and assist with Equipment Loan Pool coverage.
• Involve clinical and administrative tasks within the Occupational Therapy Department.
• Participate in supervision, education and quality improvement initiatives.
