Moyne Health Services invites applications for an Occupational Therapist to join our integrated care team in Port Fairy. The role delivers therapeutic interventions, education and supports to clients across acute, residential aged care and community settings.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, provide specialist advice, adapt environments, and contribute to quality improvement and accreditation processes while engaging with diverse funding streams and supports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy with AHPRA registration.
  • Knowledge of various funding streams and available support programs.
  • Experience delivering services in Acute Hospital, Residential Aged Care and Community Health sectors.
  • Understanding of Accreditation Standards and quality improvement models.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

About the RoleThe role of the Occupational Therapist is to provide therapeutic interventions, advice and education for clients referred to MHS.Services provided may include adapting the environment, modifying tasks, teaching new skills, education and accessing supports.The Occupational Therapist may also be consulted as a subject matter expert by other MHS departments or committees.A range of Occupational Therapy services may be provided across the organisation in the following settings; Acute Ward, Community Health, Residential Aged Care, Social Support Groups and staff wellbeing programs.About YouMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor Degree in Occupational TherapyKey Selection Criteria:Qualified Occupational Therapist with current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration.Knowledge and understanding of various funding streams and the available support programs available to peopleService delivery experience within an Acute Hospital, Residential Aged Care and the Community Health sector.Understanding of Accreditation Standards, quality systems and continuous improvement modelsDemonstrated experience working within a multidisciplinary team environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skills;Intermediate skills (or higher) in Microsoft Office programsDesirable Selection Criteria:Demonstrated experience managing service provision within an allocated budgetKnowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Standards and National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS)About MHSMoyne Health Services is a public, not for profit, integrated healthcare service that helps meet community healthcare needs in Port Fairy and surrounding districts in the Moyne Shire.
