Job summary

HenderCare is seeking Occupational Therapists to join a responsive Allied Health team. You’ll deliver evidence-based, client-centred care in homes and clinical settings, supporting clients across the lifespan with equipment recommendations and home modifications.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, applying trauma-informed practice and functional assessments to improve daily living activities, safety, and participation. Pre-employment checks and licensing are required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in occupational therapy.
• AHPRA registered, including OTA membership (or eligible to register).
• Demonstrated experience in paediatrics or adults-focused therapy with NDIS exposure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a clinical caseload with clients of varying needs.
• Conduct comprehensive functional capacity / needs assessments and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with families, health professionals, and service providers for holistic care.
• Assess and prescribe assistive technology and home modifications for daily living.
• Ensure timely responses to referrals and maintain accurate records.
• Engage in quality improvement and service development initiatives.
