Job summary

Ability WA is seeking an Occupational Therapist (Advanced) to deliver evidence-based therapy for people with disability across the lifespan. You’ll shape your own caseload with autonomy, work within a multidisciplinary team, and mentor colleagues while using NDIS systems and AI-enabled tools.

Successful candidates will have HREC AHPRA registration, travel willingness, and appropriate checks, with flexible Murdoch hub or community-based work and strong support from clinical leaders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Occupational Therapist experience, ideally with complex needs.
• Strong experience completing Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs).
• Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced clinicians.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Current driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based therapy to people living with disability.
• Support customers to achieve meaningful goals through a person-centred approach.
• Complete high-quality Functional Capacity Assessments that support outcomes.
• Manage your caseload with flexibility to shape your day and areas of interest.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary therapy team using the key worker model.
• Provide therapy across hub and community settings.
• Build partnerships with families, schools, hospitals and support networks.
• Mentor and support less experienced clinicians and contribute to capability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and best-practice service delivery.
