Job summary

Townsville Catholic Education is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support schools across the Diocese in creating engaging learning environments. The role leverages the school calendar with holidays aligned to term dates, and it offers opportunities to travel to remote communities in Far North Queensland.

You will coach teachers, observe practice and provide feedback to embed inclusive strategies for students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Current registration or eligibility with AHPRA is required.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills are essential.
• Experience supporting children and young people with diverse learning needs is desirable.
• Valid Driver Licence and ability to travel within the Diocese are required.

SalaryRange: $99,182 to $118,756 per annum pending experience + Super

Some travel will be required and facilitated by Townsville Catholic Education to support schools across our Diocese - from those in and around Townsville to more remote communities including Mount Isa, Proserpine and Palm Island. This variety offers a unique opportunity to connect with diverse school communities and make a lasting impact across Far North Queensland.

To succeed in this role, you’ll hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration (or eligibility) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You’ll bring strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills, along with experience supporting children and young people with diverse learning needs. A current Driver’s Licence and the ability to travel within the Diocese are also required.
