Gorilla Jobs is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join a Queensland-based non-for-profit and its small team in Townsville. You will assess clients in their homes for assistive technology and minor home modifications, prescribe suitable equipment, and liaise with stakeholders to deliver services.

With CHSP-aligned reporting, you will contribute to professional development, leadership opportunities, and a supportive team culture that values work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia and valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to travel to client homes and prescribe assistive technology.

Responsabilités

• Travel to clients' homes to assess need for assistive technology and minor home modifications.
• Prescribe relevant technology and liaise with stakeholders to deliver services.
• Write letters of recommendation or NDIS reports in compliance with CHSP regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
• Support admin processes related to bookings and billing.

Job Description

* Gradual increase of caseload - aim to be seeing 4 clients a day after 4 months

* Internal training in AT prescription and minor home modifications - no previous experience required

* Peer review reports and letters of recommendation

Your day to day:

You will be travelling to clients homes and conducting assessments for assistive technology and minor home modifications. You will prescribe relevant technology and liaise with stakeholders in providing this service. You will also write letters of recommendation for clients or NDIS reports that adhere to CHSP regulations, and undertake necessary and interest based training courses to support your professional development.
