Job summary

Goulburn Valley Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist Grade 2 to provide inpatient OT services across acute or sub-acute wards. You will deliver person-centred, evidence-based care and work within a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient goals.

The role includes involvement in professional development, supervision of students and junior staff, and opportunities across other hospital services as needed. Relocation and accommodation support are available.

Qualifications

  • Eligible for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia.
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Extensive experience providing Occupational Therapy in the in-patient setting with goal setting and discharge planning.
  • Positive attitude towards supporting others and expanding skills and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred, evidence-based Occupational Therapy care.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve patient goals.
  • Engage in a robust professional development program and supervision.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.

Relocating to our region:

About the Role:

The Grade 2 OT will be responsible for providingOccupational Therapy services to in-patients, across acute or sub-acute in-patient wards.

This role will include:
  • Provision of person-centred, evidence-based care
  • Collaborationacross multi-disciplinary teams to support achievement of patient-focused goals
  • Engagement in a robust professional development program and supervision
  • Participation in continuous quality improvement activities
  • Supervision of students and junior staff

The role may also provide opportunities to work across other services of the hospital as required including in-patient mental health unit and outpatients (renal unit).

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with eligibility for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency as an Occupational Therapist
  • Extensive experience providing Occupational Therapy services in the in-patient setting with knowledge of, and the ability to assess, goal set, prescribe interventions and develop effective discharge plans
  • Positive attitude towards supporting others and expanding their own skills and experience
