Job summary

Healthii People in Brisbane and the South Burnett is seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to lead the OT program and deliver practical, person-centered care for clients with complex needs. The role focuses on capacity-building, report writing, and shaping standards in disability services.

The successful candidate will travel to the South Burnett monthly, with some work-from-home hours possible.

Qualifications

• Substantial OT experience and strong understanding of disability and functional assessment.
• Clear, defensible report writing.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a broader team.
• Willingness to build therapeutic relationships over time.
• Capability to travel monthly to the South Burnett.

Responsibilities

• Own and shape Meliora's OT program, implementing processes and standards to enable growth.
• Perform Functional Capacity Assessments, provide recommendations and reports.
• Lead longer-term capacity-building work focusing on daily living and community participation.
• Support for Unfunded Lives and access to NDIS for clients with severe disability.
• Brisbane-based with monthly travel to the South Burnett; some work-from-home hours may be possible.

They're looking for an experienced Senior OT who enjoys thoughtful, practical work with people whose lives are more complex than a standard assessment can capture.

$105,000-$125,000 + super + generous PBI salary packaging

The role
