Job summary

Blue Wing Care is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our allied health team serving Campbelltown and South West Sydney. You will work with NDIS participants who have complex support needs, in their homes, in supported living and in the community, alongside familiar support workers.

This role offers real caseload continuity and integration with our teams, ensuring recommendations are implemented by colleagues you can easily contact. New graduates are welcome and supervision is available.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist is required.
• Current Australian driver’s license with a roadworthy, insured vehicle is needed.
• NDIS Worker Screening clearance is required.
• NSW Working with Children Check is required.
• First Aid and CPR training or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Assess function, environment and equipment needs and write reports.
• Prescribe and review assistive technology, home modifications and equipment.
• Build capacity in daily living, access and participation against participant goals.
• Collaborate with support workers and Service Coordinators to ensure plans are followed.
• Maintain clinical notes and documentation to meet NDIS Practice Standards.

About the role

Blue Wing Care is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our allied health team in Campbelltown and South West Sydney. You will work with NDIS participants who have complex and high-intensity support needs, in their homes, in supported living and out in the community, alongside support workers who already know them well.

This is a role with a real caseload and real continuity. Our therapy team sits beside our supported living and core supports teams, so the people you assess are people we support every day, and the recommendations you write are carried out by colleagues you can actually talk to.

What you will do

• Assess function, environment and equipment needs, and write the reports that fund them


• Prescribe and review assistive technology, home modifications and equipment


• Build capacity in daily living, access and participation against each participant's own goals


• Work with support workers and Service Coordinators so a plan is followed rather than filed


• Keep clinical notes and documentation to NDIS Practice Standards

What you bring

• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist


• A current Australian driver's licence and a roadworthy, insured vehicle


• A valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance


• A valid NSW Working with Children Check


• First Aid and CPR training, or willingness to complete it

New graduates are welcome. We would rather supervise properly than hire late.
