Suncare Community Services Ltd is seeking a Community Occupational Therapist to support older adults in North Lakes and across the Brisbane region. You’ll provide in-home and community OT, focusing on independence and quality of life, with a values-driven, supportive Allied Health team.
This role offers flexible, hybrid working options, Not-for-Profit salary packaging up to $15,900 per year, and a CPD allowance to support your learning goals. A driver’s license is preferred.
At Suncare Community Services, we believe growing older shouldn’t mean giving up the things that make life feel like yours. Every day, our team helps older Queenslanders stay independent, connected and confident in the homes and communities they love.
And we look after our people with that same care.
With over 800 team members and 200 dedicated volunteers across Queensland, we’re building a workplace where you can grow, feel supported and make a meaningful difference, one visit, one smile, one connection at a time.
At Suncare, we’re proud to be a provider and employer of choice. We offer meaningful roles, flexible work options, and a culture built on respect, inclusion and heart.
From your first day, you’ll be backed by a team who genuinely wants you to succeed. We offer training, guidance and the tools you need to feel confident in your role.
You make a difference every day, we make sure you feel it. From shoutouts and milestones to our annual People Awards, your contribution won’t go unnoticed.
We’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome, respected and safe to be themselves. We proudly encourage applications from First Nations peoples, the LGBTIQA+ community, people with disability and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Your story matters here.

Getting older can mean giving up a lot, your home, your routine, your sense of independence. We don’t think it should.
With more than 800 team members and 300 volunteers, we’re here to help people keep living the life they love, with reliable in-home and community care, a local team who knows the neighbourhood, and the kind of support that always has time for a cuppa and a chat.
And we look after our team the same way. We offer real support, meaningful recognition, and rewards that reflect the difference you make every day.
Here’s what you can expect:
As a Community Occupational Therapist, you'll join a supportive Allied Health team helping people stay independent, active, and connected to the life they love. Every day looks a little different, but you'll spend your time supporting people in your own homes and communities with practical, person-centred care.
Your day may include:
This role is based in North Lakes, with regular travel across the Brisbane region. We're ideally looking for someone who can work full-time, helping us support more people in our local community. We know life doesn't always fit neatly into a standard work week, so if you'd like to be considered, please outline your preferred days and hours in your cover letter.
This is a chance to do meaningful work that makes a real difference, close to home.
We believe real care starts with real belonging. That means creating a workplace where everyone - no matter their background, culture, or story - feels seen, respected, and safe to be themselves.
We welcome applications from First Nations people, the LGBTIQA+ community, people with disabilities, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds. Your story matters here.
We proudly work across the lands of the Gubbi Gubbi (Gub-bee Gub-bee), Turrbal, Yuggera, Darumbal, Butchulla (Batjala) & Taribelang Bunda peoples, and extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. We are committed to creating a culturally safe, inclusive and welcoming workplace for all.
You can still make a big impact. Volunteering is a great way to give back, connect with your community and support others.
