Job summary

Medirecruit seeks a Physical Rehabilitation Consultant to join a leading national workplace rehabilitation provider in Townsville, QLD. This role suits Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists who want to apply their rehabilitation expertise to occupational rehab, helping injured workers return to safe, sustainable work.

You will manage your own caseload, collaborate with employers, insurers and treating practitioners, and produce high-quality reports to meet standards and timelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology with professional registration (AHPRA or ESSA)
• Experience in allied health, preferably in rehabilitation and case management
• Ability to write comprehensive reports to deadlines
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Willingness to travel and hold a current driver’s licence

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workplace rehabilitation and injury management cases from assessment through return to work
• Apply rehabilitation expertise to improve function and support safe, durable return to work
• Use sound clinical reasoning in assessments and case management decisions
• Build relationships and negotiate with injured workers, employers, insurers and practitioners
• Prepare clear, high-quality reports meeting client and legislative requirements
• Meet service standards and reporting timeframes
