Job summary

The Bayside Health public health service is seeking an AIN to support nursing teams at Caulfield Hospital across shifts. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will assist with activities of daily living and ensure patient safety to aid recovery and ward efficiency.

A Certificate III in Health Services Assistance is required. We welcome applicants committed to high-quality patient care and collaborative team work.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute) or willingness to undertake additional units if required
• Experience in healthcare setting is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Willingness to contribute to quality patient care
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with staff, patients and families
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and complete tasks delegated by supervising RN
• Aware of limitations in knowledge and seek support when required

Responsibilities

• Participate in delegated care relating to activities of daily living
• Assist in maintaining a safe patient environment and provide additional supervision
• Enhance patient recovery by assisting with bed positioning, transfers and ambulation
• Provide general support to Wards/Units within the AIN role
