Job summary

The Gurdies, VIC location. Nursery Farm Workers required for a flower farm, with 15 positions advertised. Tasks include picking, harvesting, greenhouse work, moving pots and plant carts, planting, and general farm duties. Shifts start early, with roughly 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, and occasional Saturdays as needed.

Accrue 120 hours every 4 weeks under the Nursery Award 2020. Role is physically demanding and requires good fitness. Transport is self-provided due to remote location.

Job description

Nursery Farm Workers Required We require 15 hardworking & dedicated workers to assist with work on a flower farm in The Gurdies, VIC.

The work will involve picking and harvesting all types of flowers, working in green houses moving pots of plants around, Lifting and bending moving plant carts, planting, picking. General farm work, cleaning and maintenance.

The work will commence in September 202 and will continue for nine months ending in approximately June 2027.

Successful applicants will offered 120 hours of work over each 4 week period.

The work hours will be in all weather conditions from Monday to Friday with a start time around 5am to 6am each day. Saturday work will be on required if there are any orders. You will work approximately 8 hours per day and paid under the Nursery Award 2020.

This type of work is physically demanding and strenuous. A good level of fitness is recommended as you will be on your feet all day.

As the farm is away from any public transport, you will need your own transportation to and from work.
