Job summary

Thrive Plant Wholesalers on the Gold Coast is seeking enthusiastic, reliable nursery hands to join our growing team across Upper Coomera and Clagiraba. The role is 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with early starts from 6am to 2pm.

No extensive nursery experience is required, as full on-the-job training is provided. You’ll be outdoors, lifting pots and trays, cleaning and detailing plants, packing orders, and supporting quality control, with scope to develop and take on more responsibility.

Qualifications

• Physical outdoor work capability (lifting pots and trays).
• Good reliability and punctuality.
• Comfortable with fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Clean and detail plants, barcode, pack orders.
• Watering, weeding and quality control.
• Move plants and load/unload on delivery days.
• Follow health and safety guidelines across two sites.

Job description

We are a large wholesale nursery based in Upper Coomera and Clagiraba. We are looking for several enthusiastic, hard working and reliable nursery hands to join our fast-growing business.

The Role:

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Hours generally 6am – 2pm

Previous nursery experience is a bonus but not essential

There are several positions across our two sites. (Backpackers welcome to apply)

What you’ll be doing:

Cleaning and detailing plants, barcoding, packing orders, weeding, quality control, watering, moving plants, and loading and unloading plants.

What we’re looking for:

Comfortable with physical, outdoor work: lifting and carrying pots and trays.

Happy work in all-weather conditions such as heat, rain, and cold weather.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Follows directions well and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Have reliable transport.
