Job summary

Florafolia in Alstonville, NSW, is seeking an Experienced Nursery Hand to support production and quality. You will plant, grow, and maintain high-quality plants, and prepare growing areas for new stock.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, up to 38 hours, with pay commensurate with qualifications and experience within the Nursery Award. Australian work rights, a current driver’s license, and car license are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a production nursery environment preferred.
• Strong work ethic – positive, reliable, punctual and proactive.
• Physically fit and high energy.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Team player and able to follow processes and direction.
• Horticultural qualifications desirable but not essential.
• Enjoys working outside, all year round.
• Australian work rights required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Planting plants on our planting machines.
• Growing and maintaining high-quality plants.
• Preparing growing areas for new plants to go down.
• Picking plants for customer orders.
• Preparing plants for sale with a focus on detail.
• Weeding.

Florafolia is a wholesale plant nursery based in Alstonville, Northern NSW, growing tropical foliage, indoor plants and advanced trees sold across Australia. We were recently awarded the Best Plant Production Nursery in NSW and we are looking for a Nursery Hand to help us maintain and build on this.

Qualifications & experience

• Experience working in a production nursery environment preferred

• Pay will be commensurate with qualifications and experience within the Nursery Award. We have a weekly BBQ lunch and every permanent team member gets a paid birthday day off.
