Job summary

Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) invites applications for a Nurse Unit Manager RN3 at Modbury Hospital, Medical Unit. Lead day-to-day operations, ensure clinical governance and provide hands-on nursing leadership in a high‑complexity inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Experience in a senior nursing or unit management role in an acute medical setting.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop nursing teams through change and complexity.
• Understanding of budget management, rostering and workforce accountability.
• Commitment to SA Health safety and quality frameworks including NALHN care model.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across clinical and admin teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, hands-on leadership to nursing and support staff across the unit.
• Drive patient safety, quality improvement and clinical standards compliance.
• Manage rostering, workforce planning and staff performance and development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, person-centred care.
• Promote best practice care for patients with dementia.
• Embrace person-centred practice in all aspects of the role.
