Job summary

Healthcarelink Support is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join the Urology/Vascular ward in Melbourne on a full-time basis. The role focuses on clinical operational direction, mentoring staff and coordinating audits to improve patient outcomes.

You will operate within a large private hospital, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting a learning culture while managing resources effectively. Registration, checks, and shift flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Registration with AHPRA.
• Working with Children Check.
• ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement.
• Maintain professional relationships with VMO partners to enable high quality patient outcomes.
• Provide clinical operational direction for the unit and coordinate delivery of evidence-based nursing care.
• Be accountable for daily management of human, financial and material resources.
• Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Undertaking direct patient care as required.
• Mentor staff.

  We are currently looking for an Assistant Nurse Unit Manager - ANUM to join the Urology/Vascular ward in a full-time capacity.

  As an ANUM – your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
  • Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.
  • Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
  • Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources
  • Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Undertaking direct patient care, as required
  • Mentoring of staff
