Job summary

Garden Village Port Macquarie is a premier aged care, home care and retirement living provider. We are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to oversee day-to-day patient care and lead a team of RNs, ENs and Care Workers in your section.

The successful candidate will have AHPRA registration, at least 5 years aged care experience, and strong communication skills to engage with residents, families and staff while upholding Resident Rights and Accreditation Standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 5 years aged care experience.
• Experience in managing a unit/ward/facility and handling staff, incidents and complaints.
• Excellent communication with residents, families and staff.
• Understanding of Resident Rights and Aged Care Accreditation Standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day patient care in your section.

As a premier Aged Care, Home Care and Retirement Living service provider, Garden Village has a unique opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to be responsible for overseeing day to day patient care, liaising with family members and leading a team of RNs, ENs and Care Workers in your own section.

Candidates will require:

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• At least 5 years aged care experience
• Previous demonstrated success both as a Registered Nurse and within a senior clinical role.
• Experience in managing a unit/ward/facility with regards to staff, relationship, and incident and complaints management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - with residents, families and staff
• A strong understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
