Job summary

Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) invites applications for Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) in the Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery sector. The role supports the Nurse Unit Manager to provide strong leadership and high-quality consumer care across the unit, with responsibility for clinical and administrative management on a shift-by-shift basis.

Qualifications

• Current eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing/Masters in Mental Health Nursing.
• Demonstrated competence in consumer centred care and problem-solving at an advanced level.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of quality improvement, staff development, research or risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and role modelling as ANUM in support of the Nurse Unit Manager.
• Manage clinical and administrative aspects of the unit on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Ensure high level of consumer care and service provision.
• Demonstrate sound judgement in ethical, clinical and management issues.
