Job summary

Hunter New England Health’s Nurse Practitioner role offers autonomy, collaboration and patient-centred care. You will provide advanced assessment, diagnosis and treatment across primary care, using clinical judgement to support a range of health needs and achieve positive outcomes.

Based in Thwaites on James Fletcher Campus, this temporary full-time position runs 38 hours per week with a remuneration package including a 12% Superannuation and salary packaging options.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration and Nurse Practitioner endorsement, or substantial progress towards endorsement.
• 3+ years’ advanced practice experience in your area of practice.
• Strong primary care assessment, diagnosis and treatment skills.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse communities.

As a Nurse Practitioner you will provide comprehensive virtual mental health care, including assessment, treatment, treatment planning, and referral services, specifically targeting individuals presenting to rural and remote Emergency Departments in Moree, Glen Innes, Narrabri, and Inverell (New England North-West Service).

You’re an experienced Nurse Practitioner who brings advanced clinical knowledge, sound judgement and a strong commitment to person-centred care.
