Job summary

Bayside Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health/Sexual & Reproductive Health to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based care for clients with sexual and reproductive health needs.

The role is Permanent Part Time 18 hours and Limited Term Part Time 18 hours per fortnight until December 2027, based in Hastings/Rosebud, Victoria, with access to professional development and salary packaging benefits.

Qualifications

• Current General Registration and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner (AHPRA).
• Master-level nursing qualification in advanced practice.
• Primary Care Prescribing Notation under Victorian health regulations.
• Medicare provider number and PBS prescriber number held.
• Minimum 5 years in women’s sexual and reproductive health.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management for women’s sexual and reproductive health.
• Deliver evidence-based care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Support prescribing, care planning and patient education.

The Team & Role

The Nurse Practitioner (NP), Women’s Health/ Sexual and Reproductive Health, is an experienced registered nurse who functions autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high- quality evidence-based care. The NP provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, management and treatment for clients presenting with women’s sexual and reproductive health needs, aligned with the values, knowledge and practices of the nursing profession as outlined by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council (ANMC)

Skills & Experience Required

• Current General Registration and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA)
• Master of Advanced Nursing Practice or equivalent postgraduate qualification
• Current Primary Care Prescribing Notation under the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act, Department of Health, Victoria
• Medicare Provider Number and PBS prescriber number
• Minimum of 5 years experiences in women’s sexual and reproductive health demonstrating evidence of advanced clinical practice
