Job summary

Family Planning Australia invites applications for a Nurse Educator in NSW. This permanent full-time role develops, coordinates, delivers and evaluates clinical and multidisciplinary courses for staff and external participants.

You will supervise course participants, work with the Lead Educators, and update content with the team. Some weekend and after-hours work and occasional travel are expected. We value diversity and encourage Aboriginal and minority-group applications.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NSW) with current registration.
• Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health or equivalent.
• Experience in clinical practice in reproductive and sexual health.
• Experience planning, developing, delivering and supporting education programs, including online courses.
• Strong communication skills (written, oral, liaison, negotiation, presentation).
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Computer literacy to create PowerPoints and use Zoom.
• Evidence of Family Planning Australia vaccination requirements.
• Must have full Australian working rights.
• Understanding of adult learning principles, teaching methodologies, curriculum development and evaluation processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, deliver and evaluate clinical and multidisciplinary courses, workshops and seminars for Family Planning Australia staff and external participants.
• Provide supervision to course participants in Family Planning Australia Clinical Services.
• Work with Lead Nurse Educator, Lead Medical Educator, other Nurse Educators, the Clinical Education Coordinator and Manager Education to achieve goals.
• Update course content with team support and work on other educational projects as directed.
• Undertake some weekend and after-hours work; some overnight travel is expected.
