Job summary

Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service seeks an experienced Nurse Educator (Professional Development Officer) to strengthen the capability, confidence and professional development of the nursing workforce across Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals.

The role focuses on coordinating undergraduate and postgraduate participation, delivering a clinical education curriculum, and providing educational leadership to support safe, high‑quality mental health care.

Qualifications

Coordinate undergraduate, postgraduate and student participation according to Health professional standards.
Provide educational leadership to build workforce capacity and foster lifelong learning.
Coordinate and deliver a clinical education curriculum addressing staff learning needs.

Responsibilities

Enhance and monitor workforce competency, capacity and development of the Wide Bay Mental Health & Specialised Services team.
Coordinate ongoing undergraduate, postgraduate and student participation according to health standards and learning objectives.
Provide educational leadership to build workforce capacity and foster a culture of lifelong learning.
Coordinate and deliver a clinical education curriculum that addresses staff development and quality care.
