Jobbeschreibung

Help strengthen cancer care and support across Australia.

At the McGrath Foundation, we believe no one should go through cancer without the care and support of a dedicated cancer nurse.

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Nurse Clinical Lead to bring prostate cancer specialist clinical expertise in leadership and guidance to our Nursing Program. In this influential role, you will help ensure McGrath Cancer Care Nurses have the knowledge, confidence and support they need to provide consistent, high-quality care to people experiencing prostate cancer and their families.

About the role

Reporting to the Nursing Program Senior Manager, you will provide clinical guidance, mentoring and role development to support to our McGrath Cancer Care Nurses.

Working closely with our Nursing Program team, you will:

  • Support and strengthen specialist knowledge and prostate and oncology nursing expertise to support the delivery of the McGrath Model of Care.
  • Offer clinical guidance, monitoring and mentoring to McGrath Cancer Care Nurses caring for people with prostate cancer.
  • Support consistency in the information, resources and guidance provided to our nursing cohort.
  • Share specialist prostate cancer knowledge across the Nursing Program and broader Foundation.
  • Contribute clinical insight to Nursing Program processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deliver relevant program and education content for the Nursing Program team and McGrath Cancer Care Nurses.

This is a permanent full-time position. We are open to the successful candidate initially working part-time, with a gradual transition to full-time hours (38 hours per week) by 1 April 2027.

The role can be performed remotely, with some local and interstate travel required.

About you

You are an experienced cancer nurse who combines strong clinical knowledge with warmth, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to supporting others. You enjoy sharing your expertise, building capability and working collaboratively to improve the experience of patients, families and nursing teams.

What you'll bring:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Tertiary qualifications in cancer nursing, ideally at master’s level.
  • At least five years’ experience in prostate cancer nursing
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Experience developing and delivering education or program content for clinical teams.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to provide clear, practical and compassionate clinical guidance.

This is an opportunity to use your clinical expertise to strengthen cancer nursing practice and help ensure people experiencing prostate cancer, and the families who support them, receive informed, consistent and compassionate care.

The McGrath Foundation is an employer of equal opportunity and celebrates the diversity of our team. We encourage candidates of all backgrounds to participate in our recruitment processes.
