Job summary

Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) Morwell is seeking a Nugel Case Manager to work with Aboriginal children and families within the child protection framework. You will apply cultural therapeutic approaches to support families, build capacity, and promote safe, loving home environments.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will collaborate with police, courts, and service providers, conduct risk assessments, and develop care plans while documenting thoroughly to reflect the child’s

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work degree or diploma of Community Services.
• Valid Police Check and Working with Children’s Check.
• Current Victorian Driver Licence; COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended.
• Experience in trauma-informed, culturally safe casework with Aboriginal children and families.
• Strong report writing and ability to develop care plans and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Work with Aboriginal children and families and sector partners to improve outcomes.
• Apply culturally centred practice approaches in case management.
• Prepare case notes, incident reports, and court reports.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders (police, courts, service providers).
• Maintain resilience and contribute to a supportive team culture.
