Job summary

Coles Group in Sydney is seeking a NSW Transport Operations Manager to lead transport performance across service, safety, and cost while building partnerships with transport providers and internal teams.

You will use data and commercial acumen to drive cost efficiency, manage contractor performance, and ensure safe operations across the NSW network. This role demands strategic thinking and strong stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics or supply chain in a high-volume environment.
• Experience managing third-party transport providers or contractors.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with costings, budgets and drivers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead NSW transport operational performance across service, safety, cost and quality.
• Build strong relationships with transport providers and internal teams.
• Conduct regular contractor performance reviews and drive improvement plans.
• Partner with Distribution Centres, stores, Supply Chain, Finance and Safety.
• Apply commercial judgement to transport costs and operational decisions.
• Use data to identify opportunities to improve service and cost performance.
