Job description

As the business expands, we're looking for a hands-on New South Wales State Manager in a senior operations leadership role. The successful applicant will oversee the end-to-end operational performance of the Group's Head Office Warehousing site and statewide field service projects. This role drives operational excellence, ensures compliance with data security, environmental and safety regulations; as well as playing a critical role in managing vendor & supplier relationships that underpin the business' service delivery. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the New South Wales State Manager acts as the operational backbone of New South Wales Operations, balancing day-to-day site performance with strategic improvement initiatives, cost management, cross-functional collaboration with sales and finance and driving internal compliance throughout delivery.

Key responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end daily operations of the NSW ITAD processing and warehouse facility, ensuring throughput targets, quality standards, and customer SLAs are consistently met.

Oversee all ITAD processing activities including asset intake, data destruction, grading, repackaging, remarketing preparation, and responsible e-waste disposition.

Implement and maintain standardised operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with national standards set by the Chief Operations Officer, and drive continuous improvement at site level.

Monitor and report on key operational metrics including daily throughput, processing accuracy, asset turnaround times, and cost per unit.

Lead, develop, and performance-manage a team of Team Leaders and Supervisors, fostering a positive, accountable, and high-performance team culture.

Manage day-to-day rostering and resource allocation across the site, ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet operational demand.

Serve as the primary New South Wales point of contact for customers and clients, managing day-to-day service delivery, queries, and escalations.

Champion a strong safety culture on site — ensuring all team members understand and adhere to WHS obligations, safe work practices, and site safety rules.

Conduct and maintain risk assessments, safe work method statements (SWMS), and site hazard registers, reviewing and updating these regularly.

Prepare and submit regular site performance reports to the Chief Operations Officer covering operational KPIs, staffing, WHS, and customer service metrics.

About you

3–6+ years in an operations, warehouse, or logistics management role, with demonstrated experience leading a team.

Proven experience managing team leaders or supervisors in a warehouse, processing, or production environment.

Strong WHS knowledge and a demonstrated commitment to maintaining safe workplaces, including familiarity with New South Wales WHS legislation.

Experience with rostering, resource planning, and managing operational staffing across varying demand levels.

Strong customer service orientation with experience managing client relationships and service escalations.

Solid organisational and time management skills — able to juggle competing priorities and maintain high attention to detail.

Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with customers, team members, and senior management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general operational reporting and documentation.
