The Law Society of New South Wales is seeking an External Intervention Solicitor - Team Leader to guide the external interventions team and manage caseloads under the Uniform Law. You will supervise solicitors and support practitioners facing practice difficulties, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will lead reporting, resource management, and education initiatives, with a hybrid work arrangement and senior leadership exposure within the Legal Regulation Directorate.

Formación

• Admitted as NSW Legal Practitioner with an unrestricted Practising Certificate.
• 15+ years’ experience in private legal practice.
• Experience managing a law practice as a principal.
• Experience in two or more areas of practice (Conveyancing, Criminal Law, Family Law, Litigation, Personal Injury).
• Ability to lead and develop a team, set KPIs and drive performance.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours.
• Strong knowledge of NSW regulatory framework.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and guide the external interventions team and supervise solicitors and paralegal(s).
• Report to Deputy Director, Litigation & External Intervention on resources, engagement with external providers, and appointment progress.
• Act within the Uniform Law framework and related authorisations.
• Supervise trust money and educate the profession on trust account requirements.
• Prepare and submit external interventions reports under the Uniform Law.
• Prepare advices in consultation with the Deputy Director for Council and Director inputs.
• Notify stakeholders of relevant matters in a timely fashion.
• Provide guidance to practitioners facing difficulties in managing their practices.
• Educate the profession and external stakeholders about external intervention and the Uniform Law.
