Job summary

Woods Environmental Services (WES) is seeking NRM Crew Members for our teams in the Yarra Valley and greater Victoria. The role is field-based, delivering revegetation, weed control, waterway restoration and maintenance across varied sites from bushland to metropolitan areas.

You will work both independently and in teams, bringing experience in NRM, safety, and environmental disciplines. A White/Red Card and relevant trainings are essential, with opportunities for career development within the

Qualifications

• Experience within the NRM, environmental, landscaping or similar industries.
• ACUP and/or AgVet Chemical Users training.
• Level 2 First Aid.
• Chainsaw operation qualifications and experience.
• Construction OHS Induction Card (White/Red Card) – essential.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Conservation and Land Management, Environmental Science or Horticulture.

Responsibilities

Job description

Woods Environmental Services (WES) is a well-established environmental contracting company providing specialist Natural Resource Management (NRM) services throughout metropolitan Melbourne and surrounding regions.

Based in the Yarra Valley, with operations across greater Melbourne and Victoria, WES delivers a diverse range of environmental projects for government and major organisations including Melbourne Water, Parks Victoria, the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), DEECA and various Local Councils.

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking NRM Crew Members to join our teams based at our Woori Yallock (Yarra Valley).

About the Role

As an NRM Crew Member, you will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality environmental outcomes across a diverse range of projects.

Depending on the project, works may include:

• Revegetation and planting
• Brushcutting and general reserve maintenance
• Woody weed control
• Waterway and wetland rehabilitation
• Environmental maintenance and restoration works
• Working in both metropolitan and remote locations

The role is primarily field-based and provides the opportunity to work across a wide variety of sites and environmental projects.

Skills & Qualifications

Industry experience is preferred; however, applicants with the right attitude and a genuine interest in environmental work are encouraged to apply.

The following skills and qualifications will be highly regarded:

• Experience within the NRM, environmental, landscaping or similar industries
• Knowledge of native vegetation, plant identification, weed control and revegetation techniques
• ACUP and/or AgVet Chemical Users training
• Level 2 First Aid
• Chainsaw operation qualifications and experience
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Conservation and Land Management, Environmental Science, Horticulture or a related field
• Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Construction OHS Induction Card (White/Red Card) - essential
